Pr. Alexandre Gagnon nominated to the position of President of the Foundation
The board of Administrators of the Fondation Lucien-Piché is happy to announce the nomination of Pr. Alexandre Gagnon to the position of President of the Foundation. Pr. Gagnon obtained his Ph.D. from the chemistry department of the Université de Montréal in 2000. After a two-year post-doctoral position at Columbia University in the city of New-York, he joined Boehringer-Ingelheim as a research scientist. In 2010, he joined Constellation Pharmaceuticals in Cambridge, Massachusetts and in 2011, he started his independent academic career in the chemistry department of the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). Mr. Gagnon joined the Foundation in 2011 as an administrator. He was Vice-President of the Foundation from 2014 to 2017. He succeeds to M. Luc Séguin, President of the Foundation from 2003 to 2017. The board of Administrators is convinced that M. Gagnon's experience in industry and academia will be an important asset for the Foundation.
